1. Scope & Applicability
These General Terms of Sale govern all acquisitions of High Jewelry, Solitaire Diamonds, and Haute Horlogerie pieces from Maison Bjaan Roma S.p.A. ("Maison Bjaan"), whether arranged online via our Digital Concierge, booked through our Salon Scheduler, or finalized within our global flagship boutiques in Rome, Paris, London, New York, Geneva, and Dubai.
2. Authenticity & Gemological Certification
Every Maison Bjaan creation is an authentic, handcrafted original manufactured in our historic Italian ateliers. All creations are accompanied by the following credentials:
- Maison Bjaan Certificate of Authenticity: Stamped and signed by our Master Jeweler, detailing serial numbers, precious metal hallmarks (PT950 Platinum, 18k Rose/Yellow/White Gold), and individual piece provenance.
- Independent Gemological Reports: Solitaire diamonds of 0.50 carats and above include independent grading dossiers from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or HRD Antwerp. Exceptional colored gemstones (Colombian Emeralds, Burmese Rubies, Royal Blue Sapphires) feature reports from SSEF (Swiss Gemmological Institute) or Gübelin Gem Lab.
- Kimberley Process Certification: Maison Bjaan strictly adheres to the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) and the World Diamond Council System of Warranties, guaranteeing 100% conflict-free, ethically sourced gemstones.
3. Acquisition Pricing & Currency Policy
All prices displayed in our boutique catalog reflect current precious metal market indices and rare gemstone valuations.
- Currencies Supported: Transactions can be settled in USD ($), EUR (€), GBP (£), CHF (Fr), or AED (د.إ).
- Taxes, Duties & Customs: For international orders delivered outside the European Union, value-added taxes (VAT) and import customs duties are calculated transparently and handled via our DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) concierge service.
- "Price Upon Request" Protocol: Unique High Jewelry masterpieces (such as the *Magnificence In Emerald* parure or rare Type IIa Golconda diamonds) are subject to confidential private quotations upon verified appointment.
4. Bespoke Haute Joaillerie Commissions
Custom creations, bespoke engagement rings, and personalized hand-engraved pieces require an initial 50% deposit upon approval of the gouache watercolor design rendering and gemstone selection. The balance is due upon completion of the piece and issuance of the certified gemological dossier.
Bespoke Notice: Due to their one-of-a-kind nature and personalized fabrication, custom-engraved pieces and bespoke commissions are non-cancellable and non-refundable once metal casting has commenced.
5. White-Glove Armored Shipping & Vault Collection
Maison Bjaan provides complimentary, fully insured international transport for all acquisitions:
- Armored Transport: High-value pieces are conveyed via specialized secure couriers (such as Ferrari Express or Brink’s Global Services) requiring adult signature verification and government ID inspection upon delivery.
- Flagship Boutique Collection: Clients may select complimentary private collection at any Maison Bjaan salon globally, accompanied by champagne viewing and bespoke ring sizing.
6. Return & Exchange Policy
For non-bespoke, standard catalog creations:
- 30-Day Evaluation Period: You may request a complimentary exchange or full refund within thirty (30) calendar days from receipt.
- Condition Requirements: Items must be returned in pristine, unworn condition with all original security seals, presentation boxes, and gemological certificates intact.
7. Lifetime Maison Warranty & Ateliers Care
Every Maison Bjaan creation is backed by a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects. Furthermore, our clients enjoy complimentary lifetime services:
- Annual ultrasonic cleansing and prong inspection at any global salon.
- Complimentary initial ring re-sizing (within technical feasibility limits).
- Comprehensive rhodium re-plating and polishing for fine white gold pieces.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Sale are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy and European Union consumer protection standards. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Rome, Italy.
