Privacy Policy & Data Protection

Effective Date: August 28, 2026 · Compliant with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and Swiss FADP

1. Commitment to Client Confidentiality

At Maison Bjaan Roma S.p.A. and our global affiliates (collectively, "Maison Bjaan", "we", "our", or "us"), the preservation of your discretion and the protection of your personal information is as foundational as the craftsmanship of our high jewelry. This Privacy Policy details our protocols regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and safeguarding of information acquired through our digital flagships, private salon consultations, bespoke commission requests, and international boutique network (Rome, Paris, London, New York, Geneva, and Dubai).

Key Guarantee: Maison Bjaan never sells, leases, or monetizes client dossiers, transaction history, or bespoke design blueprints to third parties. All client interactions are treated with white-glove Swiss banking-grade confidentiality.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information to deliver personalized high-jewelry client services, ensure secure high-value transactions, and fulfill regulatory compliance requirements:

A. Private Client & Consultation Details

  • Identity & Contact Information: Full name, salutation, residential and delivery addresses, email address, and telephone / WhatsApp numbers.
  • Private Salon Appointments: Date preferences, flagship boutique location of choice, consultation type, and specialized gemologist requests.
  • Bespoke Commission Dossiers: Ring dimensions, anniversary dates, gemstone carat preferences, custom hand-engraving scripts, and design reference sketches.

B. Transaction & Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance

  • Payment & Vault Details: Encrypted transaction identifiers, wire transfer confirmations, and billing information (processed through PCI-DSS Level 1 certified gateways).
  • High-Value Regulatory Verification (KYC/AML): In accordance with European Union AML Directives, Swiss Federal Banking standards, and the USA PATRIOT Act for precious metal/gemstone transactions exceeding regulatory thresholds, government-issued identification or corporate provenance verification may be required.

C. Digital Flagship Browsing & Device Information

  • Technical telemetry including IP address, browser type, geographic region, referral URLs, and interactions with our digital loupe and piece preview tools.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is processed exclusively for the following lawful purposes:

  • Salon & Concierge Service Delivery: Confirming private viewing appointments, orchestrating white-glove armored transport, and providing piece-of-interest dossiers.
  • Bespoke Haute Joaillerie Creation: Documenting the provenance, GIA/HRD certification, and artisanal fabrication of your commissioned pieces.
  • Client Relationship & Archival Privileges: Extending private invitations to high-jewelry archival exhibitions, salon previews, and bespoke salon events (subject to your explicit consent).
  • Legal & Kimberley Process Compliance: Guaranteeing ethical diamond origin records and meeting international trade customs regulations.

4. Data Retention & Secure Provenance Storage

We retain client purchase records and Gemological Dossiers indefinitely within encrypted archival repositories to authenticate your pieces for future insurance appraisals, heirloom provenance transfers, and complimentary lifetime maintenance. General inquiry records without completed acquisitions are securely expunged after 36 months.

5. International Data Transfers

As an international high-jewelry maison headquartered in Rome with ateliers in Valenza and Geneva, your data may be accessed by authorized Maison Bjaan gemologists across our global boutiques. All cross-border data transfers are executed under strict European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and Swiss Federal Data Protection standards.
